Live Four Die Four

The newest Thrasher magazine has a little piece on Shake Junt and the memorial/skate jam that went down earlier this year in remembrance of Beau Shaver, local skate-legend/all-around BMF. It's a pretty good article and most definitely surreal to see local dudes get national recognition in the biggest skate magazine there is. Unfortunately Out of Bounds recently had to close their doors, which kind of makes this article bittersweet, since a large part of the skate scene here revolved around that store. But Reno iz resilient if nothing else, hopefully we can make the Shred 4 Shaver event an annual get down.

there's no sound on this video, but so just put on this Lil Gin track while you watch it...

Which House?

The Flaming Lips famously stated, "Finally the punk rockers are taking Acid", I would like to say, "Finally nerdy computer geeks are taking cough syrup". If they were ever to accurately remake a classic horror film(mostly Nightmare on Elm Street) The opening shot would be a descending aerial view of a sleepy neighborhood that slowly descends on to one open upstair window....this song would be playing and their would be choppy cuts of an underwater scene and maybe some stock owl footage spliced in there really artfully. Plus that guitar solo sounds ripped straight from David Gilmour's hands circa 1983.

What the Buck

The level people are taking popping and locking to these days is just nutty. It reminds me of the shit Pharoah's would have in their royal courts. The kind of stuff europeans would go back home and make up tales of black magic and pacts with the devil over. This shit can fuck up a lesser man's whole sense of reality. Camera's can't even catch all the frame rate, it's fucked up.
